About Case Knives:
Case Knives have quite a lively and interesting history!
Back in the late 1800’s four Case brothers (William Russell (W.R.), Jean, John and Andrew), began selling knives and cuterly from the back of their wagon in New York. They did so for many years. William Russel’s son established the company W.R. Case & Sons and in 1905 the company moved to Bradford, Pennsylvania.
Case knives are known for their quality and beauty. The blades are made with stamped domestic steel which have been hardened using special heat treatment methods.
Case Knife handles are shaped by hand. The handles are made from many different materials including India Stag, buffalo horn, mother of pearl, precious stones and more. Other metals like brass, nickel and / or silver are also used on some of the knives parts.
Case knives have become a favorite among knife collectors and have the largest knife collectors club with over 18,000 members. Even famous people love Case knives including Randy Travis and Nascar’s Richard Petty.
